Exploring tribal and folk dances from cultures around the world to
facilitate story telling through dance. Dress-up is encouraged but not
mandatory. Some costuming pieces will be available to use/share while in class.
We will utilize props such as veils, streamers, fans, drums, canes/swords (older
group), but the focus will be on using themes for storytelling through
movement. Your children will enjoy hearing a variety of traditional music
including Eqyptian, Morroccan, Arabian, Turikish, Indian/Bollywood, Middle
Eastern, Flamenco, Caribbean, Hawaiian, African, and Eastern European.
Performance is not mandatory with either of these classes. However,
choreography and performance opportunities available to interested students,
with parent permission.
Try out your first class with a $5 donation. Upon registration,
$30/month.
Children with the most attendance during the Fitness Challenge
will be entered into a drawing for free spring/summer classes.

The adult class is focused on blending fitness and
art by practicing the technique and fundamentals of traditional, tribal, and
fusion bellydance in a fun, non-competitive atmosphere. We accept new students -
no experience is neccessary. However, even experienced dancers will enjoy and
benefit from the technical drills and combos. There are opportunities to learn
choreography and perform, but this is not a mandatory part of this class.
Introduction to dancing with props such as veils, fans, fan veils, cane, and
